The Testi Ayla processing station, founded in 2010, receives coffee from around 375 small farmers in Bombe village, Sidama region. Producers own an average of 2.5 hectares of land where they grow various varieties of coffee, such as Mikicho, Setami, but also Heirloom. Farmers in this region do not have access to and therefore do not use fertilizers or pesticides in growing coffee. In this special batch, only the ripest cherries are selected andspecial attention paid to sorting, including additional sorting, after preparation for grade 1.
