Francisco Morales and his wife manage several plots of land in Cipresales, in the Huehuetenango subregion. Los Naranjales was one of the first plots Francisco inherited from his parents. He continued to produce coffee on this parcel because it was successful, partly due to the orange trees on the property that enrich the soil and provide shade for the coffee plants below. The farm has become a successful business, providing household income and generating jobs for many people in the surrounding areas.
