Don William named the processing station after his second daughter, Hellen, who was only 20 years old at the time and was assisting him in this new venture. Despite financial difficulties and a lack of convenient loans, he sought to add value to his farms by processing his own coffee. By specializing in the natural processing of the highest quality cherries, Don William made a bold move, remaining dedicated to his passion even in the face of financial risks. Despite the challenges of attracting new customers, the remarkable quality of his coffee surpassed the competition, highlighting his success in producing unique, incredibly flavored profiles of coffee.
This lot of Gesha/Geisha variety comes from La Ladera farm, a hidden gem beneath the "Dragon's Hill," a subregion in Tarrazu. The cup opens with a bouquet of elderflower and acacia, followed by a medley of various fruits, with a hint of maple syrup sweetness on the finish.
