In 2019, Testi Specialty Coffee took over the AASH PLC processing station and collaborated with small local growers to produce high-quality specialty coffee. About 750 local owners deliver the coffee to the station, coming from farms located at altitudes of over 1,900 meters, planted with local varieties and JARC. Traditional farming methods in West Arsi involve intercropping coffee bushes with other crops, maximizing land use and providing food for farmers' families. In addition, most farms are organic, limiting the use of fertilizers and pesticides. The largely manual farming process reflects the continuation of traditional practices despite changes in the industry.
In the cup, we discover a special aromatic profile, with notes of chamomile, clementine, and the sweet final taste reminds us of honey and pollen.
